Images / Crop Frame

Find a better frame for your image

Crop a photo or illustration into square, wide, portrait, or original proportions. Position the frame, preview the crop, and save PNG, JPEG, or WebP locally.

Your original stays untouched. The crop is a new file.

Keep what matters

A different frame can change the whole picture.

Choose a square for a small avatar, a wide shape for a banner, or keep your image’s proportions and zoom into a detail. Use the position sliders to move the crop from edge to edge. The white frame marks what stays.

Create the crop to check the final dimensions and download a new image. If you also need a smaller file, pass the result to Image Fit.

Does the tool enlarge my image?

No. The maximum edge is a limit, not a target. Smaller crops keep their available resolution. Output dimensions are rounded to whole pixels, so a very small crop can differ slightly from the chosen ratio.

Why does a position slider sometimes do nothing?

If the crop already fills an entire width or height, there is no room to move on that axis. Increase the zoom or choose a different shape to create room.

Which format should I use?

PNG keeps transparency and avoids lossy compression. JPEG often suits photos and replaces transparent areas with white. WebP supports transparency with adjustable quality, but the destination must accept it. Quality is not a guaranteed file-size limit.

What are the limits?

Open one JPEG, PNG, or WebP at a time, up to 20 MB, 40 megapixels, and 32,768 pixels on either side. The output edge is capped at 4,096 pixels. Animated images become a single decoded frame. Browser decoding and color handling can affect the output. Files remain in this tab; save your crop before closing it.
