Time & planning / Time Sum
Add your durations without losing track of time
Total clips, tasks, or session lengths with millisecond precision. Add or subtract durations, choose how two-part times are read, and export a running-total report.

One total, without mental carrying
Turn a list of durations into a clear running total.
Plan a playlist, total the sections of a presentation, or subtract cuts from a video edit. Each line is normalized to hours, minutes, and seconds, and the running total shows where you are after each entry.
Choose how two-part times should be read before calculating. If you prefer unambiguous input, use explicit units: “1h 30m” and “1m 30s” always mean different durations.
What formats are supported?
Use hours:minutes:seconds, the selected two-part format, or explicit h/m/s/ms units such as 1h 20m 3.5s. Plain numbers are seconds. Seconds can include up to three decimal places. Use a decimal point; commas, dates, and clock-time ranges are not supported.
Can I subtract time or exceed 24 hours?
Yes. A leading minus subtracts a duration. Totals can be negative, and hours continue past 24 without becoming a date. Colon-separated minute/second fields must be below 60; explicit “90m” is allowed.
Is this a payroll or time-zone calculator?
It adds durations only. It does not interpret time zones, daylight-saving changes, start/end timestamps, pay rules, or billing increments. Milliseconds are retained without rounding to minutes.
What are the limits and exports?
Use up to 1,000 nonblank entries and 9,999 hours per duration. Labels can use up to 80 characters. The preview shows at most 200 entries; downloads contain them all. CSV prefixes formula-like text and negative values with an apostrophe for spreadsheet safety. The TXT report preserves their displayed signs.
