Games & puzzles / Light Grove
Find the pattern that turns every light off
Play a small lights-out puzzle with daily and fresh boards. Flip neighboring lights, undo a move, and use up to three hints. No account needed.
Let the grove go dark
One press changes a little cross
Press a light to flip it and its neighbors directly above, below, left, and right. Turn them all off to finish.
Tap a square, or use arrow keys to move focus and Enter / Space to press. A star means on; a dot means off.
A small pattern puzzle
Change one light. Think about its neighbors.
A press can help one corner and brighten another. Look for patterns, undo a step, and use a hint when you need a fresh direction. Every starting board is solvable.
The aim is to turn all the lights off. There may be several solutions; the game does not grade you against a minimum move count.
How do hints work?
A hint highlights one press from a valid solution to your current board. You get three hints per attempt. Press or undo a move to clear the current highlight before asking for another. Hints do not move for you and are not guaranteed to find the shortest solution.
What does undo change?
Undo rewinds the last press and subtracts it from the displayed moves. It does not refund hints or rewind elapsed time. Completion locks the board; restart begins another attempt on the same layout.
What is the daily puzzle?
The UTC date and selected size produce the same starting board. A fresh puzzle uses a new local seed. Restart preserves that layout while clearing moves, time, and hints.
Is progress saved?
Refreshing resets the attempt. No account or automatic storage is used. After completion, you can download the puzzle identifier, moves after undo, elapsed time, and hints used as a text result.
