Give a small table a place in your document
Turn CSV or pasted spreadsheet data into Markdown and HTML tables. Preview escaped cell text, choose alignment, and download every row without uploading a file.
Use it in a document
A readable preview and the source will appear here.
Select the source to copy it. The Markdown download targets renderers with table support and inline HTML for line breaks. The HTML download is a complete, styled page.
Tables that travel
From a spreadsheet to your notes.
Turn a small CSV export or pasted spreadsheet range into a Markdown table for a README or document. Use the HTML fragment in a page, or save a complete HTML file you can open locally.
Quoted fields, Unicode, leading zeroes, and duplicate rows stay in order. The formatter does not evaluate formulas or turn cell text into formatting.
What happens to special characters?
Markdown punctuation and raw HTML are escaped so they appear as cell text. Pipes do not create extra columns. Internal line breaks become <br>. The output follows GitHub Flavored Markdown's table syntax; a renderer without table or inline-HTML support may display it differently. Markdown renderers can collapse runs of spaces even when the source preserves them.
Can I paste directly from a spreadsheet?
Yes. A copied range usually uses tabs between cells. Choose Tab if automatic detection picks the wrong separator. The first record supplies headings by default; turn that option off to keep every record as data and generate “Column 1,” “Column 2,” and so on.
Are any rows or cells removed?
Outer whitespace is trimmed from each cell, and line endings are normalized. Duplicate rows and blank cells remain. Uneven records cause an error instead of being padded or truncated. A completely blank physical record is still a one-cell record, so it may need separators to match your table.
How does numeric alignment work?
A column aligns right only when its nonempty data cells are decimal numbers. Headings do not affect that check. This changes alignment only: values such as 001, 1.20, and large integers stay written as supplied. Empty columns align left.
What are the limits?
Input is limited to 100 KB, 200 data rows, 20 columns, and 2,000 characters per cell. Captions allow 100 characters. The preview shows up to 20 data rows; the source and both downloads retain all rows. Working data is cleared when you leave or reload the tab.
