One thing at a time.

25 min focus · 5 min break

Each block waits for you to start it. Applying durations or resetting clears the current timer and completed-block count.

Optional. This page does not send notifications. Keep the tab open and check the timer if your browser mutes sound.

A boundary for the next task

Make a little time, then take a little space.

Focus Blocks gives one task a clear beginning and end. Choose a focus duration, choose a break, and start. When the block finishes, the next one waits until you are ready.

The default is 25 minutes of focus and a five-minute break, but the rhythm is yours. Use shorter blocks for a small task or longer ones when you want more room. There are no streaks, scores, or accounts.

Does it keep time in another tab?

The timer uses a clock deadline, so switching tabs does not reset it. Browsers may delay updates or sounds while a tab is hidden or a device sleeps. When you return, the display catches up. Only the current block can finish; the next block never starts automatically.

What does Pause do?

Pause keeps the remaining time. Resume gives you that amount of time from the moment you restart. Reset clears the session and its completed count. Changing the duration fields alone does nothing until you choose “Apply durations & reset.”

What is saved?

Nothing persists after refreshing or closing the page. The task label and completed count stay in this tab only. Finished blocks mean the timer reached zero; they do not measure attention, productivity, or how much work you did.

Can I rely on the chime?

The chime is optional and depends on browser permissions, mute settings, and the device staying awake. Test it first if you want to use it. This timer is for everyday pacing, not for time-critical alerts. Changing the device clock can also affect the countdown.
